Born on the streets of Wandegeya near Makerere University, the Rolex is Uganda's most beloved street food — a chapati wrapped around a spiced egg omelette, sold for less than the cost of a bus fare. Students lived on them. Then everyone else did too.
We brought the charcoal griddle, the flat pan, and the technique from Kampala to the UK. Nothing premade. Everything cooked live in front of your guests — the steam, the sizzle, the smell — is the entertainment.
